This is my son Michaels pet gecko Hercules. My son actually wanted a bearded dragon, but I knew how big they can get & didn’t think it was fair to a lizard by not having enough room for it to grow & thrive. So we decided to get a gecko. Under one condition. Mikey had to clean his room top to bottom to make room for the cage. WELL that room was cleaned quicker than it’s ever been cleaned before LOL We took him to Petco & brought home Hercules. I actually didn’t want a lizard in my house either. The crickets & beetles it gets fed is DISGUSTING! But I’ve grown to love this little member of our family. He is kinda cute.
*Went into my stash for this layout! Like shopping my stash!

Music to scrap by.....
Just thought I'd share with you what I've been listening to while I scrap. Classical Music for Meditation & Yoga
If I'm not listening to this....I am listening to Scott D Davis on Pandora.
Oh,
BTW, I listen to Nature Scapes Thunderstorms & Beach sounds while I read.
So there's a little tid bit about me :)
What your favorite to listen to while you create?
Now for people that know me & remember my techno days LOL well they may think this is weird. But this is my little secret even when I was a teen. Actually I listen to every type of music out there. Probably because I danced the first half of my life.
Anyways, I can't seem to scrap to music I want to sing along to anymore. It distracts me. Maybe getting older makes my brain want to concentrate on one thing only LOL. I dunno??? But this is so soothing & I can concentrate on the memories of my photos while I'm creating. You should try it. There are tons of similar CD's out there. Tons on Itunes. If I'm not listening to this....I am listening to Scott D Davis on Pandora.

Love U Mini Layout
Ok I think I'm about to become obsessed with making mini layouts! This was so fun & it is so cute miniaturized....6x6 LOVE! Plus it was so super quick & perfect for the tiny instant polaroids!
This all came about because I bought a whole bunch of project life page protectors. I don't actually do PL but love that I can make all different sized layouts & put them in my regular 12x12 albums. Gives my scrapbooking some extra excitement. Can't wait to do a 8-1/2 x 11 horizontal page!

Paper Tales Layout
Well I absolutely needed to visit a scrapbook store while I was on the West Coast! Yes it was my honeymoon & yes my new husband was very gracious about it all. We actually had some time before we could check into hotel so we went to brunch (This will be another post because it was the bomb diggity of brunches) & then we headed to Paper Tales. Such a delightful little store. Wish I had more room in my suitcase to buy more LOL. I was actually thinking of mailing it to myself so I could. BUT I figured that would be pushing it, I was on my honeymoon after all.
The thickers used on this page was actually purchased at the store. Also love the cute Prima flower that I used to replicate the pretty pom poms they had hanging in the store. Wish I lived there....I would be there an awful lot :)
I also kept the page busy because it makes me scour the photo. I love searching it & seeing all that scrappy goodness!

~Epoxy Circles - Epiphany Crafts
~Veneer Stars - Studio Calico

Like Mother Like Daughter Layout
For my wedding my Aunt Rosie gave me one of the best gifts. Photos of my Mom when she was young. You know for a scrapper how big that was. Especially since she passed on three years ago. I never seen most of these pictures she had. It was a great gift!
Well as I'm skimming through them I see this picture of my Mother (the one on left) I almost fell out of my chair, literally. I knew I looked like my Mom but holy smokes batman! I immediately remembered the picture taken of me. (the one on right) When I put them next to each other the resemblance was uncanny. The tilt of the head, the hair, the eyes...one is shaped different then the other, the shape of the face...just so much alike!
When I was printing this picture out last night, for fun I superimposed them on one another....Wow!
I now understand why my Aunts & Uncles look at me that way sometimes.
Miss you so much Mama xoxoxo I'm a lucky girl to look just like you!

Bliss Love Layout
Here's a layout of Tony & I taking our wedding portraits in Coney Island. Oh man it was so hot that day! We took pictures by the parachute & there was an old abandoned building there. I am pretty sure used to be the old bath houses. It was beautiful. My daughter Alyssa actually took this shot. The videographer had us walk to him & Aly got this shot while we stopped for a little kiss. Thankfully for us this was pretty much the only part of the day that wasn't raining. JUST HOT!!!
This looks like a pretty simple layout however I got stumped making it a few times. In the end I love how it turned out. Definitely was a lesson in less is more. It took a lot for me not to add more embellies. I kept placing things down & then picking them up. "I put tings down, den pick dem up" :)
The quote is actually lyrics from a Backstreet Boys song.... Tony thinks he is the missing band member LOL So I found it & used it for him. Originally it was just going to say "I would go anywhere with you" This makes it a little more personal.

San Diego (Palm Trees) Layout
This is one of the very first shots I took after getting off the plane on our honeymoon. We had to stop to put the directions for La Jolla in Tom Tom.(We were having brunch there before heading to Coronado) Well, I looked up & was so impressed with the Palm Trees in San Diego. So much prettier than the ones I've seen in Florida. Or much more regal. They are so tall. This was just the beginning of a beautiful honeymoon. There's more to come!

How cool is that! Something that made me smile....
So first I received an email from Shelley, the owner of A Flair for Buttons & she told me that she saw my spinner on my blog & that most, if not all of my buttons were actually from her store. Her buttons are actually what got me addicted. So she featured it on her blog Scrappergirl How cool is that!
By the way...Thanks Erica!
By the way...Thanks Erica!
Then..... I received another email from Ellen... the senior marketing analysis for Harbor Freight Tools which somehow also saw my spinner, which kinda floored me as this is a tool company. AND they featured my idea for their spinner on their Harbor Freight Blog How cool is that!
Anyway just wanted to share because I thought it was pretty cool!
Thanks Shelley & Ellen......You sure made me day!
