How cool is that! Something that made me smile....

So first I received an email from Shelley, the owner of A Flair for Buttons & she told me that she saw my spinner on my blog & that most, if not all of my buttons were actually from her store. Her buttons are actually what got me addicted. So she featured it on her blog Scrappergirl How cool is that!

By the way...Thanks Erica!

Then..... I received another email from Ellen... the senior marketing analysis for Harbor Freight Tools which somehow also saw my spinner, which kinda floored me as this is a tool company. AND they featured my idea for their spinner on their Harbor Freight Blog How cool is that!

Anyway just wanted to share because I thought it was pretty cool!

Thanks Shelley & Ellen......You sure made me day!

How bout having things in order while you scrap??

So remember the other day I bought a desk organizer to keep supplies in that I want to remember to use? And I said I wanted another to keep empty & use while creating a layout? Well I ran out & bought another lol. I've made several layouts using this system & it's working out perfectly. But here's the key....you have to clean up after each project :-)

Not so much a problem for me because I do clean everything after each time. Even if I do one layout after another. I love starting off with a clean slate.

As I'm gathering my supplies I put them in the slots. If I'm also using one of my kit clubs I do keep that separate so I don't mix them in with my other supplies. They're in a kit for a reason right. I figure someone or lot's of someone's put a lot of thought into putting those supplies together.

This is another reason I'm loving this....I can keep it separate.

As I'm working all my stuff stays organized & nothing gets buried. I also have more room because I don't have piles & piles every where. It's working for me so I figured I'd share.

They are the Martha Stewart desk organizers from Staples so they are pretty too. They also do fit 12x12.

Have fun getting scrappy!
& most importantly HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Badge, button, flair, whatchamacallits storage on my Harbor Freight spinner

Took a little trip to Staples today & picked up a few things...But what I was really excited to get was some magnetic tape. Look what I did with it.
Be sure to read at the bottom for a couple of tips.

I wrapped it around my Harbor Freight spinner for all my buttons or badges or whatever you like to call them! Can't tell you how excited this made me LOL. I have soooo many of them & I always forget what I have. Now when I think my page can use one I'll just spin to find the right one. (Going to buy another roll because I will run out of room on the 2 tiers I put it on. An added plus it that they are so darn cute to be hidden away in a drawer, now I can enjoy them!

A little tip... when you first get the roll unroll it in the opposite direction & secure it for about a half hour or more. Then it will wrap around the tier easier. Also I had to secure the very edges of the tape with some washi. The tape I bought doesn't go completely around. I strategically placed it so the tape starts & ends on the part of the spinners I always keep in back. But that's my wackiness.... you may not be as OCD as I am.

*One of the edges of tape was lifting a little so make sure you secure it well. I wound up putting the washi from one end of the tape to the other... like this:

Or you can glue it if you like.

Picked up an organizer for my desk & a magnetic To Do list too.

I guess today was a shopping trip made of things to help me remember what I have so I use them.

The desk organizer is for the paper & embellies I want to remember to use. I belong to a lot of kit clubs & I was just  grabbing a kit & adding from my stash....but for some reason I wasn't "digging" through my stash to find the real geams! My plan is to periodically go through my stash & put it in the organizer. Then as I'm working I'll just look through it.

I think I'm going to be getting another to keep empty & put the supplies of the layout I'm working on right in there. Then put away everything I didn't use as soon as I'm done with the layout. Hoping to give me some extra space on my desk.

The purchase of the To Do list is an obvious one ;)

So there you have it!

Happy Place Layout

Hey everyone, I have a layout to share with you today. Took me a bit of time to find my groove after not scrapping for almost 2 months. Ahhh never again! Did some stamping on this one. At first I had a hard time picking a color scheme. But after seeing all the little tid bits of pink on my desk I saw a color scheme happening. The little envelope holds a little note about why I love my little spot so much. As a Mom of three it's nice to have a little space to myself for sure.

Supplies used:
~Pattern Paper - Lily Bee Designs
~Stamps - AC Amy Tangerine & Hero Arts/Studio Calico
~Roller Stamps - 7 Gypsies & AC Dear Lizzy
~Inks - Prima chalk inks (dry sand, vintage pink, old rose) & Versafine (onyx black)
~Buttons - AC glitter buttons (love these BTW)
~Wood Veneer - Studio Calico
~Envelope - Maya Road
~Label sticker - Jillibean Soup (I am totally stocked up on these useful little stickers)
~Camera Sticker & Brad - AC Amy Tangerine
~Letter Stickers - Basic Grey
~Border Sticker - Studio Calico
~Other - washi tape & brother xl 2610 sewing machine (which is also adorably pink)

So glad to be in the swing of things again.
Gathering up tons of cute stuff for the giveaway!!
Thanks so much for looking!

P.S. Will be telling you all about the wedding & honeymoon at the Hotel Del Coronado a little bit at a time, through the layouts I create! There's a lot to tell.:)
