Customize your Clear Stamps

So I was going through my stamps & I found a set of houses that while being so cute, they just wouldn't be used by me. As I looked at them a light bulb went off..... I really really really needed some triangle stamps & Ta-Da now I have them!
Gotta admit........for a moment I felt like a mad genius when I saw the potential triangles LOLOL

I know, I know the triangles were quite visible...but I still felt brilliant for a second :p

Hope you can see the potential in your stamps that you just aren't going to use
& make them into something new :)

Relax Layout

Here's a layout I did for a lift the person above you challenge on th SC message board. I had the pleasure to lift Tara's layout. You can see her layout here...Capilano 1-2-3-Go
I loved her overall design & the light color scheme.
Thank you Tara for the inspiration :)

Here's my version:
These are some pictures of my son on our end of the summer Jersey Shore trip.
We got the tail of hurricane Isaac & the water was so rough we couldn't go in. So we just relaxed. Normally Michael would be in that water all day on his boogie board. Felt so bad for him....reminded me of when he was little & would stare out the window at the kids playing outside when I was getting chores done in the house :(

Oh & a little funny.... I happened to get soaked. was taking pictures at the waters edge when a wave came up & went right over my head LOL The ENTIRE beach was hysterical laughing. All I cared about was my damn camera.

Here's the before shot of the supplies I gathered

You'll notice I broke out lots of old school goodies :)

~Stamps - TT & Pink Paislee

My 3 Crazy Kids Layout

My kids are nuts....no really, LOL. When they these 3 teens are in a goofy mood, ya never know what can happen. Yes they argue sometimes like all siblings do. But when they are like this...watch out, because it get's crazy. Crazy in a good way of course.
These photos were taken after an Easter dinner at the Greenhouse here in Brooklyn. And no I can't get them to dress up all nice & sweet anymore...only for church & then the regular clothes come out.
Anyway, I'm thinking the chocolate mousse is the reason for their madness right here. Oh & these were only 3 of the 25 photos I took. Craziness does not show up well on a camera. :)

Don't forget the before shot at the end of the post....

Before shots....

Just wanted to let you all know that I am going to be including a before shot in my layout posts. It will be at the end of the post. I like gathering my supplies for my layout just as much as I like creating it. So, I decided to include this part of the process with you all. I don't always use it all & I usually add to my layout as I go. To me that's the fun part. So I thought it would be kinda cool to see what I started with & the end result. So keep an eye out for it.

Here's the before of the layout I am currently working on....this will also be on my post of this layout, along with the layout of course.

Hope you all enjoy the new addition to the blog!
P.S. My layout is almost done.

Pic from Above Layout

Haha this was so funny! Definitely had a good laugh with the stilt walker!
LOOK
I hand wrote on my page! Yay me! Still don't like my handwriting but glad that my kids will have it one day. Plus way easy!
I wrote this about a month ago on the SC message board:

"I have been struggling for years to try to like my handwriting so I could write directly on my pages. I always either type it or hide it in or behind something. I've practiced & practiced through the years. Over the last month or so I have started using the pen I like for scrapbook journaling (uni-ball) for everything I write. I mean everything...even when I jot a short list. I have been writing everything in capital letters too. It's really been helping me after all these years of trying different things. Still not confident to write directly my pages yet. But I'm way close. Just figured I'd share, maybe it will work for you too. :)"

I guess I got my confidence :)

Discover Balboa Park Layout

This layout is from the very last day of our honeymoon. We checked out of "The Del" (that's what everyone who goes there calls it) & had a 9PM flight back to NY so needless to say we had some time. I had planned our honeymoon itinerary before we even left for San Diego. Which by the way, my husband made fun of. I always need a plan LOL.
Anyway,
Balboa Park is absolutely stunning, The architecture is stunning. The weather was stunning! Couldn't ask for a better way to end our honeymoon, well except for going to Island Prime for dinner before our flight. (that's another layout for another time)
We we're really tired at this point so walking through & taking pics was very relaxing & serene. We even stepped into the Museum of Natural History which is located in the Park.
The trolley ride from the parking lot was so fun. Felt like we stepped back into time. Wish I could have seen what went on in these homes when they were first built. Think I'll be doing some research because I'm so intrigued.

Loved being able to use the flag as part of my title!
