Blog Hop Tour Part 2 :)

So sorry this is later than I wanted it to be. Really didn't expect the post vacation exhaustion, lol. I need a vaca from my vaca. Then add the start of school was today ughhh!

So from my last post you know that the very talented Melissa Mann tagged me for this post. Thanks so much Melissa :) A huge compliment coming from you!

So here goes:

1. What am I working on right now?

As of now I'm still working on my ongoing Atlantis vacation mini. A few months ago I decided it was time to start this... We went in 2005! I fell in love with the 4x4 albums by WRMK & chose one for this album.

2. How long does it take me to create a project?

Well if it's a mini... A long long time ;) Creating a traditional layout varies but most times after I gather my supplies I can get one done in an hour.

3. What are my favorite things to create with at the moment?

Ephemera packs, enamel dots & I don't think I can call a layout complete without a few mist droplets.

4. How does my writing/creating process work?

As I mentioned earlier that I gather my supplies first. Normally I gather my supplies the night before while watching TV or a movie with one of my kids. I enjoy this part of the process just as much as the actual creating. It also gives me time to think of what I'd like to make. Lots of times the product dictates my layout & I choose the photo later.

5. How do I become inspired and stay inspired?

Honestly it hasn't changed much since I started scrapping which is around 15 years ago. I almost always find my inspiration from others online. It doesn't even have to be a layout or project, it can simply come from a conversation with another scrapper. Other times I am inspired is by going through the products I have...old & new.

6. What is my signature style?

I don't think I have a signature style. I love trying new trends and fads. I feel like it just keeps things fun!

Now in turn, I nominate Michelle Wedertz :)

I have really been loving her style. It's the perfect balance between embellishing & simplicity. Michelle's style is also artsy & fun. I really love perusing her gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!

You Are So Very Loved

Sharing a layout made for Come On Get Crafty's Everyday. Life. Documented series. I used PL cards to make a traditional page. But as you can see, you can definitely use the embellished cards into your pocket page protectors.

It was very easy to add several photos by using the cards in a grid design. I added a vellum background I cut with my cameo. It helped to ground the photos and add visual interest.

I love these photos of Tony & I but if you look closely at our faces you can see that it was 90 something degrees and 100% humidity! Holy cow it was so darn hot! Although well worth it because the pictures we took in this location are some of my favorite of the day.
