Discover Balboa Park Layout

This layout is from the very last day of our honeymoon. We checked out of "The Del" (that's what everyone who goes there calls it) & had a 9PM flight back to NY so needless to say we had some time. I had planned our honeymoon itinerary before we even left for San Diego. Which by the way, my husband made fun of. I always need a plan LOL.
Anyway,
Balboa Park is absolutely stunning, The architecture is stunning. The weather was stunning! Couldn't ask for a better way to end our honeymoon, well except for going to Island Prime for dinner before our flight. (that's another layout for another time)
We we're really tired at this point so walking through & taking pics was very relaxing & serene. We even stepped into the Museum of Natural History which is located in the Park.
The trolley ride from the parking lot was so fun. Felt like we stepped back into time. Wish I could have seen what went on in these homes when they were first built. Think I'll be doing some research because I'm so intrigued.

Loved being able to use the flag as part of my title!

  2. Stunning layout! I live in San Diego and Balboa Park is one of my favorite places here. I always take visitors here. The architecture is Spanish. Balboa Park was built for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. Oh and the SD Zoo is part of Balboa Park. Nice that you stayed at The Del. Also one of the must-see landmarks in SD.

    1. We hit the zoo too! Sang the theme song from 3's company the whole day (Even did the one leg stand in front of Flamingos like suzanne summers did) LOL. We absolutely loved loved loved San Diego. I am a tried & true Brooklyn NY girl but I tell ya..we both agreed that if it were not for the kids, we would move there. We will be back for sure! Lucky girl you get to live there! Thank you for the info on the park. It really was so beautiful! :)
