Verrazano layout

I see this bridge almost every single day. I live about 10 blocks from it. I am in awe of it every single time I see it!
I have so many memories associated with the Verrazano bridge.

Going over it on family trips & especially family picnics.
Going to Shore Road  as a child with my Mom & playing under it.
My Mom surprising me with the view of it from our bedroom window when we moved.
Drawing a picture of it for my Mom (which while going through the stuff she left realized she kept it all those years. Then balling my eyes out)
Going for walks under it with my childhood best friend AnnMarie & sometimes my cousin Kathleen.
Bringing my children & getting icecream at one of the rest stops along Shore Road & playing under it.
Sitting near it on Shore Road to watch the fireworks on 4th of July.
Going over it when I moved back to Brooklyn after living in Staten Island for close to 10 years.
Tony & I going for our walks & having many conversations while looking at it.
AND most of all seeing it on our way home from long trips & feeling that wonderful feeling of being home again.
So you get the idea....This bridge is VERY meaningful to me.

WOYWW....Wait what?

It's Thursday!!! Oh well I'm a little late on this. I did take these pictures yesterday but could,t get them uploaded to blogger. And it's not really of my desk but more of my shelf.

What's on the shelf that's so special you ask....Well look what arrived yesterday

THE CAMEO!!!!!!!!

I now know why everyone is in love with this machine. It's like magic. SERIOUSLY MAGIC!!!

The very first thing I cut on it was this image below. I asked Tony to write something using a black marker on an index card. I then scanned it into my computer & changed it into a PNG file. I then opened it in silhouette studio & used the trace function. Then TADA Tony's handwritten cut file. Magic I tell ya!

So I'm off to go play some more with my Cameo. I don't think I've ever been this excited over a gadget. AND that's saying a lot considering I'm inspector gadget & have all kinds of fun gizmos.

See ya later alligators! Thanks for visiting!

WOYWW & the Cricut boo boo blunder... Doy!

Ok so not too much on my desk today. There should have been but here's what happened:
(An Excerpt from my post at 2p's)
Posted: 4/4/2012 4:28:37 PM

Ok so I sit at my desk & I start getting scrappy with it. Then I decide to
cut out a background on my Cricut. I pick my image. Plug my gypsy in.
Paper on mat.NOW it has to update! Seriously. I forgot I never used
my gypsy on this one. Can you say FOREVER! What a way to lose your mojo

Posted: 4/4/2012 4:41:31 PM

Ok I just have to laugh now. My gypsy died near the end of updating.
Not only that, I now need to get my images again.

SERIUOSLY! LOL

Posted: 4/4/2012 4:50:56 PM

OMG My cricut just fell on the floor while cutting! I'm hysterical laughing.
I moved it out a bit to make room for the back to cut & I guess it I moved
it too much. It actually continued to cut but it moved so the paper is totaled.
I can't freaking believe this. Someone doesn't want me scrapping today.
Or my Cricut is jealous because my Fiance just bought me a Cameo.
LOLOL It was my EP This & that paper too.

Posted: 4/4/2012 4:59:04 PM

Wahhhh it was supposed to be an image from the Paper Lace Cartridge.
Now I need to hope I have another sheet in one of my monthly kits
or something.

And this is what happened....

So I changed it to this.... Which is in process, so this is just a sneak peek

I will make use of that ruined paper some day. I have a few ideas brewing.

Also just to let some of you know I posted my clear stamp storage earlier today so you can check it out here- Clear Stamp Storage

Some of you guys thought it would be a hoot to do this & I agree soooo
Wedding Update:
Ok so as far as the wedding is going I'm sending out the invites next week... Ahhh it's really happening. I'm sure in the upcoming weeks there will be much more than that along with photos. Plus some of the things I'm making for the big day!

You can find out more about WOYWW on Julia's site The Stamping Ground

Thanks so much for looking & hoping all you aren't having the day I am, LOL

P.S. We ordered out Greek food tonight because I was afraid with the way my day is turning out, I might burn down the kitchen. Hee hee
