Verrazano layout

I see this bridge almost every single day. I live about 10 blocks from it. I am in awe of it every single time I see it!
I have so many memories associated with the Verrazano bridge.

Going over it on family trips & especially family picnics.
Going to Shore Road  as a child with my Mom & playing under it.
My Mom surprising me with the view of it from our bedroom window when we moved.
Drawing a picture of it for my Mom (which while going through the stuff she left realized she kept it all those years. Then balling my eyes out)
Going for walks under it with my childhood best friend AnnMarie & sometimes my cousin Kathleen.
Bringing my children & getting icecream at one of the rest stops along Shore Road & playing under it.
Sitting near it on Shore Road to watch the fireworks on 4th of July.
Going over it when I moved back to Brooklyn after living in Staten Island for close to 10 years.
Tony & I going for our walks & having many conversations while looking at it.
AND most of all seeing it on our way home from long trips & feeling that wonderful feeling of being home again.
So you get the idea....This bridge is VERY meaningful to me.
